OUR INSPIRATION
The inspiration for this event is simple: a son's quest to honor his Mother's life.
Judy loved to participate these races, so it's fitting that her legacy continues to serve as the driving force behind the creation of one.

Judith Nantell, a loving mother of three boys - Joshua, Jacob and Benjamin - lived with so much love and laughter in her heart. She inspired many, running countless races, constantly pushing athletic goals, raising a family, and doing this all while working hard in a professional career at Sentry Insurance.
Judy was born and raised in Stevens Point, Wisconsin - a place she would call home until she passed away from a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) on June 26, 2018. This diagnosis was an incredible shock to her and the family. The Doctor's first thought it to be a benign tumor with no serious implications. Upon hearing the diagnosis of the GBM, Judy and her family were devastated, but when she decided to "Never Stop the Fight", she began inspiring others. Not only did Judy continue to run deep into the final debilitating stages of her cancer, but she miraculously ran her first ever marathon, the New York City Marathon, on November 06, 2016, only a couple months after her second brain surgery to remove the tumor.

It is our hope that we can provide even a sliver of the inspiration and love that Judy showed to the world throughout her life. Love is the only thing that matters. Love brings us together and love wins always.
Mama, we love and miss you every day, in every way. I hope we're making you proud.
